pedagogy kahoot! international education student learning outcomes environmental social and corporate governance (esg) innovation teaching researchThe Wharton-QS Reimagine Education Awards & Conference is a prestigious international education competition and conference, at which innovative educational technology and the latest research developments in the sector are shared. Since 2014, faculty from the world’s finest research universities are attending Reimagine Education alongside executive-level representatives from multinational technology leaders including Google, Microsoft, Amazon, IBM and other future-shapers.
The Reimagine Education Awards – the ‘Oscars’ of Education – reward innovative approaches that enhance student learning outcomes and employability, offering $50,000 in funding to the overall winners. There were over 3,000 delegates attending the event in December 2021 with over 1,200 applications across 16 awards categories. Innovators like Kahoot, Riipen and other unicorns have been the winners of Reimagine Education Awards at different years.
The 2022 call for applications will open on March 21st 2022 and close on September 15th 2022. Winners will be announced at the Virtual Reimagine Education Conference (Dec 5-9, 2022).
Project Objectives: To identify and reward the best and brightest pedagogical innovators across the world, QS creates a library of education technology projects run by individual innovators, EdTech companies, Non-Profit Organisations, and Universities.
Future17 team will help nurture this library by researching and liaising with education and EdTech innovators who are creating solutions enhancing students’ learning outcomes, teaching delivery, employability, wellbeing and sustainability education - in their region, and globally. We would like to highlight the most impactful innovative EdTech solutions that contribute to equal access to education and career development, as well as introducing ESG/SDG values to young people.
Innovators scouted by the Future17 teams should be invited to share information about their projects with the Reimagine Education library and, if relevant and interested, provided with the application guidelines for the Reimagine Education Awards.
Volunteers should look for innovating projects that:
- Have been featured in education technology reports such as the ones produced by HolonIQ, DealRoom, Emerge Education etc.
- Have been submitted and/or shortlisted for EdTech / education awards schemes or sustainability education award schemes such as GESAwards, Bett Awards, EdtechX Awards, ASUGSV Summit Awards, Edtech review awards etc.
- Are being highlighted through the innovation incubators and accelerators across different sectors and geographies.
Expected Outcomes:
1. A library of 300 educational innovations categorized by country, suggested award category, impact (existing or potential), investment cycle and reach, and point of contact of the person to engage further (first name, last name, job title, location, email address).
2. 500 invitations to submit an application to be sent by the Future17 team.
QS will provide a draft copy for email/ social media outreach, any document related to the application process, and guidance on the talent scouting process. We will also provide the list of the projects already in the Library to showcase the organizations we are after and also to make sure the ones already on the list are not double-contacted.
On successful completion of the project, students will receive complimentary passes for the Reimagine Education Awards 2022.
QS team is ready to:
- Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails over the duration of the project to address students' questions.
- Schedule 2-4 interactions with each student group (approximately 4-6 hours over the duration of the project).
- Provide an opportunity for students to present their work and receive feedback.
- Share feedback and recommendations about the project deliverables with the students and instructor.
