Details
  1. This project aims to design, distribute, and analyze a Family and Resident Satisfaction Survey to evaluate perceptions of quality of end-of-life care and overall satisfaction within the hospice setting. The purpose is to gather meaningful feedback that can guide improvements in service delivery, enhance hospice experiences for both residents and their families, and support accreditation or compliance efforts. The project will include survey development, data collection, analysis, and presentation of findings and recommendations.


Deliverables
  1. - A customized satisfaction survey tailored to residents and their families.
  2. - Data collection tools and methodology.
  3. - A comprehensive report summarizing findings, trends, and areas for improvement.
  4. - Actionable recommendations to enhance hospice care experiences for residents and families.
  5. - A potential presentation to management or staff to communicate key findings.
  6. This project supports quality improvement efforts and provides students with hands-on experience in survey methodology, data analysis, and health communication.


  1. Student Involvement:
  2. Students will be actively involved in all project stages, including survey development, stakeholder engagement, data collection (interviews, paper or electronic survey administration), analysis of qualitative and quantitative feedback, and reporting. Collaboration may be hybrid (remote for planning/analysis and onsite for distribution/engagement, as appropriate).

  3. - Support for distributing surveys (e.g., staff assistance, internal communication).
  4. - Access to relevant policies and procedures for context.
  5. - Guidance on ethical considerations and privacy compliance.

  2. - Weekly virtual or in-person check-ins with the project supervisor.
